New Acquisition by D.C. Kim at JR Mooney Galleries-Boerne

Artist: D.C. Kim “Serene Flow” oil on canvas 48”x 72” $6,600

Recently the Boerne JR Mooney Gallery has acquired an impressive canvas by Korean artist, D.C. Kim who specializes in creating a world of vivid colorful landscapes that go beyond the viewer’s expectation.

 

He has once again dazzled us with his sublime handling of color and light in this stunning painting entitled, “Serene Flow.” It definitely has to be seen in person to appreciate the effect this painting’s massive scale has on the eye, with dimensions measuring at 4 feet by 6 feet.  The future collector will need to be willing to dedicate a considerable amount of wall space to fully optimize the presence of this painting’s beauty.  A large scale work of art is a commitment that should not be taken lightly but in the right dedicated home environment it will be a window to a tranquil oasis that will bring the solace of nature into your home for many years to come.

“A Lazy Pond,” is another painting by DC Kim that features the trademarked stillness and delicate colors that are balanced with accents of intense resplendent fuchsia water lilies that are gracefully growing up from within the still waters of the pond, reflecting the sky and subtle glowing mist.  A bit more understated than “Serene Flow” with its captivating crimson leaves falling into the azure waters below, 

“A Lazy Pond” has a lighter, more soothing airy palette, but is nonetheless a statement that is another impeccable example of D.C. Kim’s skill of rendering detailed foliage and atmospheric depth in the natural surroundings.
