J.R. Mooney Galleries of Fine Art, with galleries in Boerne and at 8302 Broadway, is celebrating its 65th year of service, and its president, Bob Mooney, thinks the success it’s seen will grow in the coming years.
Above are samples of the artwork the galleries has handled, all of them original paintings.
But the company does more than just promote artists and sell art. It also frames art pieces, something its done for several U.S. presidents and state governors, appraises art, provides consultation and hangs art in homes and businesses.
Mooney, who took over the galleries from his late father, Joe Richard Mooney, said attention to customer service has been integral to the company’s success along with a passion for the arts.
