Margie Barker is inspired by her love of the land. She has painted
everything from New Mexico aspens to the Grand Canyon's majesty, but it
is to the flora and fauna of Texas that her brush irresistibly returns.
Her oils, watercolors, and acrylics have won her a host of awards,
including Best of Show at the San Antonio River Art Show. She is listed
in Artist of Texas, Vol. II, and her work has been exhibited at the San
Antonio Art League Museum.
She earned her B.A. in art at Sam Houston
State University. Margie has worked tirelessly to hone her skills. She
sketches from nature. Her strokes are deft, quick and seemingly
effortless.
